Conversion compatibility

Mermaid2Visio produces editable Visio objects rather than a flat screenshot. Flowchart, sequence, state, class, entity-relationship, and Gantt diagrams use purpose-built layouts. Architecture, C4, journey, pie, mindmap, timeline, git graph, requirement, Sankey, and kanban diagrams use a structured editable-shape translation that preserves core labels, groups, hierarchy, and relationships.

What to review

Mermaid and Microsoft Visio use different layout and styling models. Advanced theme directives, icons, custom curves, interactive links, very dense connector routing, and newly introduced Mermaid syntax can look different after conversion. The live preview validates the Mermaid source; review the downloaded VSDX before presenting or publishing it.

No professional certification

Generated diagrams are productivity outputs, not certified architecture, security, compliance, engineering, legal, or operational artifacts. Review and validate them before relying on them.

Confidentiality expectation

The service is designed around in-memory processing and metadata-only history. Users should still avoid submitting information they are not authorized to process in third-party or cloud-hosted systems.

Availability

The service may be unavailable during maintenance, upgrades, deployment, infrastructure incidents, or third-party provider outages.
