Workflow
Convert a diagram
- Paste or upload Mermaid source.Use plain Mermaid syntax from your documentation, backlog, or architecture notes.
- Run analysis.Check detected diagram type, direction, size, warnings, and blockers before generating a file.
- Preview the diagram.Confirm the structure visually. Public preview is processed in memory and raw source is not stored.
- Generate VSDX.Signed-in Basic and Pro users can generate editable Visio files within their plan limits.
- Open in Visio.Move, rename, restyle, and connect shapes as normal Visio objects.

Troubleshooting
Common fixes
Run Analysis first and check for missing arrows, unclosed brackets, unsupported Markdown fences, or diagram type headers such as flowchart TD, sequenceDiagram, classDiagram, erDiagram, stateDiagram-v2, or gantt.
Reduce the diagram, split it by subsystem, or use Pro access for higher node and connector limits.
Sign in before generating files. Anonymous users can preview only. If you received a Pro code, redeem it from the account page first.
The generated file is intentionally editable. Use Visio alignment, themes, and connectors to refine presentation for reviews or client deliverables.
Do not paste confidential source into support. Describe the diagram type, approximate size, error text, and steps instead.
